is a pretty cool guy. eh makes his own game and DOESN'T AFRAID OF ANYTHING.
So yeah. Vocabulary-stuck-in-internet mode aside, WickedStar and a few of his fans are working on a pen-and-paper version of the RPG he's been drawing for us here on dA, called "Bellaya QUEST" for now after the original story and protagonist. The content is all user-driven, comment-based, collectively decided. You can see what's going so far here:
wickedstar.deviantart.com/jour… and wickedstar.deviantart.com/jour…
Because a few people have contributed by drawing their ideas, I wanted to help there too. Except that, minor Photoshopping skills aside, I'm not much of a visual artist. So I'm pitching in by writing some background fluff and flavor text for the races and classes. Nothing I write is final until everyone's agreed on it, naturally, but for now I'm going to town and trying to input as much of my own into it. It's fun so far. Especially the orks. -ORKORKORKORKORK-
Imperials are going to be tough, though. Original humans in fantasy are never easy. It's easy to accidentally veer off into clumsy and unwanted social commentary...
Anywho. What this means is that you might actually see some deviations here, for the first time in a long time. Or I might just send him everything in a massive Word document. Time will tell.

Catching up on old comics...
I like comic books, but due to the nature of the companies behind them (lots of books coming out each month), I always fall really behind on what's going on. Sometimes I never really catch up, but just read summaries online. Occasionally it's years before I finally read a famous story. (Would you believe I still haven't read Kraven's Last Hunt, even though I know how it ends?)
Yesterday I finally read the semi-recent Spider-man: Back In Black storyline. Mostly for the title, to be honest: I do happen to think that Spider-man's famous black costume is cooler looking than his classic one, but whenever he puts it on it seems the writer's feel o
MY PROFESSOR IS TRYING TO KILL ME
I just got the syllabus for the summer class I'm taking, and HOLY CRAP is it front-loaded and busy busy the whole way through. Here I thought I'd get to take a bit of a break before leaving up north. Nope. As it is, I'll be lucky if I survive the next seven days. (3 papers due already? Oh, fuck-and-a-half.)
Still, for all the sudden feeling of a gun at my forehead, I'm still excited about the class, and the prof has even mentioned being willing to work with me as a "special needs" - in other words, a writer - student. By which he means, while everyone else will be writing essays, I'll instead write stories or plays that deal with the broader
End of a Semester
So. I realized I hadn't updated this in a very long time, and I was sick of seeing the short journal entry before this one, so I wanted to fix that. Problem is, there's not much to say from a deviantArt point of view. Haven't written much I felt like posting here (I might put up a thing or two from poetry class, though), and school's kept me too busy from any more Photoshop practice. I guess general updates will have to suffice?
Item the first. My sister has a boyfriend now. He's a nice enough kid with far better taste in music than her, which is having a pleasantly surprising effect on what she listens to. The tyranny of Paramore has been b
So. It's done.
I've submitted a poem to the literary journal AGNI. You can catch them here at http://www.bu.edu/agni/index.html
I don't expect to be accepted, but... I can still wish.
